Little Statues

Dreams of Damanhur

Dreams of Damanhur

Scattered throughout the grounds of Damjl are hundreds of small, terra cotta figures, each only eight to twelve inches tall.  Most are not as finely crafted, decorated, or finished as the similar statues that line the walls of the Temple of Humankind.  Some of these little statues are proudly displayed in picturesque settings, and some are bunched together unceremoniously, as if forgotten or abandoned.  It is said that when a person becomes a citizen of Damanhur, they make a small statue that represents themself.
